The WHO World Health Organization recognizes the importance of combating tropical diseases, with the launch of the Arbovirus Initiative, which is the largest and most sustained effort towards the existence of an integrated strategic plan to respond to the various endemic and pandemic viruses, with a focus on monitoring, detection, prevention, and response.
